More than 60 years after its debut, Bayview Village Shopping Centre is entering a bold new chapter. Long known as a premier destination for Toronto’s most discerning shoppers, Bayview Village is evolving into the heart of a 22-acre master-planned community that will bring together residential living, retail, parks, and green space.
The transformation will welcome over a thousand new residents, deliver over one million square feet of new living space, and introduce a vibrant, walkable 15-minute community. Enhanced by a European-style open-air promenade and extensive interior renovations, Bayview Village will continue to set the standard for elevated retail and urban living.
A Vision for Connected Living
Designed by Giannone Petricone Associates, the master plan reimagines Bayview Village as two distinct yet interconnected villages, each with its own character and role within the community. The North Village, the first phase of development, introduces a 23-storey residential tower and two boutique mid-rise buildings, complete with inspired amenities and a 40,000 sq. ft. public park, all seamlessly integrated into the newly reimagined retail experience. The South Village will build on Bayview Village’s established retail legacy, bringing a more urban, energetic mix of uses that complement the residential focus of the North Village. Together, the two villages are connected through pedestrian pathways, public spaces, and , the newly renovated retail core, creating a cohesive, design-forward community.
North Village: Phase One
- The North Village, the first phase of the master plan, introduces:

Construction Milestones
- October 2024: Groundbreaking and site mobilization
- October–December 2024: Geothermal drilling and early site work
- January–September 2025: Full-site excavation and shoring
- August 2025: First tower crane installed (Tower C) and foundation work begins
- October 2025: Second crane installed (Tower B)
- November 2025: Major slab-on-grade concrete pour (Tower C)
- December 2025: Final crane installed (Tower A) and ground floor construction begins
